Driving Confidence Courses
With our bespoke driving confidence courses we help drivers that:
1. Have not driven in a while
2. Have had a road traffic collision and need to regain their confidence
3. Have just lost their confidence over time
Many of our clients that want a driving confidence course will come to us with the following issues:
1. Fear of motorways – especially tailgaters and HGVs
2. Fear of drivers from behind – especially if they have been in an RTC, which involved a rear end collision
3. Fear of rural roads, with changing cambers, road surfaces, and the high speed of oncoming traffic
Sometimes we help clients with more unusual issues, such as a fear of driving under bridges, or taking left hand bends. Whatever your problem we can help you.
I was terrified of driving on the motorway and had been for 28 years. Alan, the instructor, rang me and fixed up a date for my tuition. He was outstanding. His manner was calming, highly informative, offered thorough explanations and he was extremely patient. Amanda Young, Glasgow
Many clients looking to do such a course may have may have decided on their own accord to take driver training, others find they need to take such after moving house or a getting a new job, which requires an increased level of driving. Either way we can provide a completely bespoke course, which is based around you and your own specific needs. Our tutors take a caring approach and are dedicated to helping you become a safer, more confident driver.
How a Course Runs:
We start with an initial chat about you and your driving, the reasons for the training, and what you want to achieve. We often let you drive how you usually do to start, to help you relax and for your tutor to see the standard of driving you are currently displaying.
After a debrief we start the coaching based on your needs. We can start driver training on less challenging roads, and then build your skill and confidence. Regular rest breaks for feedback is essential to ensure you get the very best from the training. Despite your feelings of nervousness, our tutors are experts, and are here to help and support you during your training, which we make both informative, educational and really enjoyable too. We will aim to drive on a wide range of roads, such as motorways, dual carriageways, rural roads and town routes. All of which have their own unique risks to look for. Again due to the bespoke nature of the courses, we can adjust the road mix to fit with you, if you are having issues with rural roads, we will naturally focus on more on these roads.

After the course we will provide a full debrief, and the course will then come to an end. We will email you a full report after the training, which will review how you performed in 20 + areas of driving both at the start and at the end, along with personalised notes from your tutor.
